Location

Rotorua is approximately three hours drive from Auckland City and two and a half hours from Auckland Airport.

Koura Lodge is located near the tip of Kawaha Point, a peninsula on the western shores of Lake Rotorua, just five minutes drive from the City Centre and 20 minutes drive from Rotorua Airport.

This image is of a KOURA (New Zealand native fresh water crayfish) taken on the shoreline of Koura Lodge. The Lodge was named after this little creature as 100 years ago the waters in and around the lodge where a favourite place for local Maori to hunt for them.
